About
A small firm, doing a specific thing well.
We are a small firm doing a specific thing well. We invest early, we invest our own money, and we work with a small portfolio one company at a time.
Thesis
We back deeply technical founders at the earliest stages with capital, craft, and hands-on operating support. We invest the firm's own money in a small number of companies and work with each one closely.
What we value
01
Small on purpose
A partner can only give real attention to a handful of companies at once. We keep the portfolio small so that attention is real.
02
Technical from the first meeting
Every partner has shipped software in anger. The first conversation is about the product, not the market slide.
03
Decisions in writing
We commit or pass in one meeting and put the reasoning on the page. Founders should never leave a room guessing.
04
Boring in public
No thought-leadership treadmill, no ranked lists, no top-picks lists. The work is the work.
Philosophy
One meeting to decide. Small round sizes. Direct partner attention through the first two years. We do not lead by consensus and we do not chase pro-rata as our default.
Focus areas

Why founders choose us
You get the partner, not an associate
A partner writes the check, sits on the working sessions, and picks up the phone. If a partner is not the right person, we tell you and step back.
We work at the code level
Architecture review, hiring rubrics, on-call rotation design, build systems. If it is a technical decision, we can be useful.
One meeting to decide
Diligence happens before the decision meeting. When we sit down to decide, we decide.
No pro-rata theatre
We do not chase pro-rata by default. We take pro-rata when the company would want us to, and we say no when we would not.
